Captain Steven Locken has been fishing since he was a child and always wanted to fish for a living. After giving up his suit and tie, he’s now living the dream. In 2017, he fished over 300 days of the year and hopes to keep it up with the help of new customers. He can’t wait to share his passion with you and help you live out your fishing dreams.
Step aboard one of his state-of-the-art boats with sound systems, clean interior and much more. You can take advantage of the spacious decks and comfortable cabins that comes fitted with a bunk, kitchen, private toilet, and plenty of seating. Capt. Steven will provide drinks and snacks, so all you need to do is bring some sandwiches and make yourself at home!
With trips ranging from 3 to 12 hours, you’ll have the chance to explore a range of diverse fishing grounds. You’ll have all the latest fishing gear at your disposal, and you’ll fish for live bait on the way out to the sweet spots. Bottom fish the nearshore shallows and troll the deep waters offshore to attract the bite of some truly prized fish.
SoCal’s fishery is renowned all over the world, and it’s easy to see why. On the same trip, you’ll have the chance to fill the boat with delicious Seabass, Sheepshead, Halibut, and monster Tuna and Mahi Mahi. You can even go after Thresher and Mako Sharks and get the pulses racing like never before!

GIANT BLUE, GRAY, HUMPBACK, FIN, KILLER, PILOT, SPERM, DALL'S PORPOISE AND FALSE KILLER WHALES PASS RIGHT THROUGH DANA POINT ON THEIR MIGRATION TOWARDS MEXICO. Bottlenose dolphin, common dolphin, Risso’s dolphin and Pacific white-sided dolphins frolic along the coastline for everyone to enjoy!
Dana Point is rated one of the best fishing spots in Southern California with only about a 5-minute voyage to get out of the Harbor and into the fishing and whale watching hot spots. I am a Local Native and have been FISHING since the age of 3. When I had boats in Huntington and Newport it took me almost an hour to get out of the Harbor. We own fast boats in a small harbor which means more fishing and viewing time. We have been growing steadily since we opened in 2018. This is my dream job – Sportfishing, having a blast and showing you everything this awesome playground on the sea has to offer.
